Waldorf
Waldorf approach places a steady rhythm at the centre of the early years, so that the shape of the day, the week and the season repeats until a child can feel what comes next without being told. Formal reading and writing are held back until around seven, and until then letters arrive through story, picture and movement.
- The same rhythm daily, weekly and seasonally
- Letters through story and picture until about seven
- Playthings left unformed, so the child supplies what they are
